Launched in 2008, as the first privately owned utility retailer competing in Calgary against ENMAX, SPOTpower is part of the UTILITYnet group of companies founded by Madeline Low and Nick Clark. SPOTpower retails electricity, natural gas, and Internet services to residential, farm, and small business owners in over 450 Alberta communities. A portion of the proceeds are also donated to the Calgary Seniors' Resource Society and Made By Momma through the Spot Cares Program.
